The seller states that the Detroit Diesel 6-71 engine is believed to be a WWII war-surplus engine. It was manufactured by Gray Marine, which was one of the builders of these engines during the war. Engine was rebuilt in 2000 and has acquired 1400 hours since that time.
Also at the time of rebuild, a New 2" shaft and propeller, new rudder bearings, new steering bearings.

The seller indicated that this vessel was submerged about 4 feet on April 2, 2016 for about an hour due to weather. The vessel was rescued within an hour with minimal damage. The seller is now battling with the insurance company for damages. Seller is uncertain of the time frame for resolution with the insurance company, he was hoping by the end of July, 2016.
